Lisa co-designed a PlayStation controller with details her fans would recognise

Share

Lisa wanted fans to find familiar details in her PlayStation collaboration. Her eyes and bangs, signature stars and “LL” lettering now appear on a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller she helped design.

Lisa, whose full name is Lalisa Manobal, is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer and actress. She rose to global fame as a member of the South Korean pop group BLACKPINK and has also built a solo music career.

Announced on 21 September 2026, Lisa x PlayStation extends the artist’s relationship with the gaming brand into a controller and merchandise collection. It follows her appearance in PlayStation’s global PS5 campaign the previous year.

The new collaboration gives that relationship a physical form. Fans will be able to use the controller while playing, carry the designs on a tote bag or wear them as part of the accompanying collection.

Personal details guide the controller design

The DualSense wireless controller Lisa Limited Edition uses a Chroma Pearl colourway, Lisa’s personal favourite. The design combines that finish with features drawn from her appearance and visual identity.

Her eyes and bangs occupy the touchpad, while stars and the “LL” lettering add further references. These details give fans several points of recognition within an object they can hold and use.

Lisa described the process as an opportunity to include things her audience would notice. “I had a lot of fun adding in little details that I knew my fans would notice,” she said.

Her contribution also has a connection to how she spends her own time. Lisa has described gaming as something she does to relax. Designing the controller brings that interest into the same space as the music and fashion through which fans already know her.

The collection reaches beyond the controller

The merchandise extends the collaboration into clothing and everyday accessories. It includes apparel, hats, tote bags, keychains, stickers and a DualSense controller carrying case.

That range offers different ways to participate. A player can choose the controller or its case, while someone interested in Lisa’s designs can find them on items used away from a console.

The collection also gives the partnership room to develop beyond Lisa’s appearance in an advertisement. Her involvement continues into the design of the products being released, with the artist and PlayStation sharing the objects fans will take home.

The earlier PS5 campaign introduced the relationship on screen. This release makes it part of a gaming setup, a wardrobe or a bag carried through the day.

October brings a staggered release

Pre-orders for the controller are scheduled to begin on 2 October 2026, ahead of its launch on 30 October. It will be available in limited quantities through PlayStation and participating retailers in markets worldwide.

The merchandise collection has a separate US rollout. Selected items will open for pre-order through PlayStation on 2 October and launch on 30 October. Another assortment is scheduled to arrive through Lisa’s official Amazon store and the Amazon Music app on 23 October.

Lisa’s new EP, Press Play, is also scheduled for 23 October. The shared timing brings the collaboration alongside her next music release, giving fans several ways to encounter her work during the same month.
