Hu Dis? Disney+ Canada joined two shortened logos in one question

Share

The first two letters of Hulu and the first three letters of Disney make a familiar question. Disney+ Canada’s “Hu Dis?” campaign puts those pieces together, keeping Hulu’s green lettering and Disney’s white script. Read aloud, the words sound like “Who dis?”, the casual question someone might send when an unfamiliar contact appears on their phone.

Created by Courage and appearing in October 2026, the outdoor campaign promotes Hulu programming available through Disney+. The two brand names supply both the message and the lettering used to deliver it.

The question also extends to the people behind the words. Cropped images from shows give viewers another identity to work out, connecting recognition of the brands with recognition of the entertainment they carry.

Cropped faces shared the question with cropped logos

One execution uses a close-up of Kim Kardashian’s eyes. Another cuts a character’s face off above the mouth, leaving a chin, collar and clothing as clues. The framing gives “Hu Dis?” something specific to ask while keeping the programme imagery large enough to fill the billboard.

The two logos retain their different lettering styles. Hulu’s green letters sit beside the loops of Disney’s script, allowing each fragment to carry its own identity within the phrase. The question mark completes the line without requiring either full brand name.

The campaign includes large billboards and a long-format transit execution. Across those spaces, the same logo combination can sit alongside different characters and images. The changing programme imagery gives the question a new subject, while the lettering holds the campaign together.

Shows associated with the campaign include The Kardashians and Scrubs. Those titles give the platform message a practical reference, pointing towards the programming viewers can find within Disney+.

Hulu’s place inside Disney+ supplied the brief

Disney announced that Hulu would become its global general entertainment brand on Disney+ from October 8, 2025, replacing Star in international markets. That change gave Hulu a wider role within the Disney+ service.

The Canadian campaign makes that relationship visible outside the app. Putting the two wordmarks together suggests that the brands belong in the same viewing destination, while the show images connect that relationship to something audiences may want to watch.

The line can be read as a question about a person and as a combination of two streaming identities. That double reading gives the outdoor work its organising idea. Each new image can change who the question refers to, while “Hu Dis?” continues to point back to Hulu on Disney+.
