Pickle Nails Club: KFC France turned a menu launch into a nail bar

In late July 2026, KFC France will open a pickle-themed nail bar in Marseille. Visitors can choose a limited-edition press-on set or get a pickle-inspired manicure before trying a menu filled with the same ingredient. Havas Paris created Pickle Club as a launch that moves from restaurants to beauty culture and back again.
The pickle moved beyond the tray
KFC France is placing pickles at the centre of a limited-time menu running from 29 July to 15 September 2026.
The range includes a Pickle Burger, Double Filet Pickle Burger and Pickle i-TWIST. Customers can also order a separate pot of pickles and add them to anything they choose.
That menu could have carried the entire launch. However, KFC wanted the ingredient to live outside its restaurants as well.
Pickles already generate strong reactions. People share taste tests, unusual recipes and combinations that range from sensible to deliberately strange. The ingredient can be loved, rejected or argued over, which gives it more cultural energy than a quiet menu addition.
KFC turned that behaviour into Pickle Nails Club. The campaign gives fans another way to show which side of the debate they belong to.

Three nail sets carried the campaign
French nail artists created three limited-edition sets of pickle-themed press-on nails.
The designs turn the colours, shine and shapes associated with pickles into small pieces of wearable art. As a result, the ingredient becomes visible before anyone reaches a restaurant or opens a food delivery app.
The choice of nail art also matches how trends move through social media. Food, fashion and beauty regularly share the same feeds. A strange recipe can sit beside a manicure tutorial, while an unusual product can quickly become material for both.
KFC brought those spaces together around one ingredient.
The press-on format keeps the idea accessible. Visitors can select a finished design rather than committing to a permanent look. Meanwhile, the limited quantity makes each set feel closer to a small fashion release than a restaurant giveaway.
The campaign title carries an extra joke in French. “Club Cornichongle” combines cornichon, the French word for pickle, with ongle, meaning nail.
Marseille gets the full experience
On 29 and 30 July, KFC will open a temporary Pickle Club pop-up at Maison Mère à Côté in Marseille.
Visitors can book a time and choose between the press-on sets or an on-site manicure inspired by the campaign. At the same time, the space will serve pickle mocktails and introduce the new menu range.
The pop-up gives each part of the launch a physical setting. The nails provide the visual hook. The beauty service gives people something to experience. The mocktails push the ingredient into another unexpected form. Finally, the restaurant products give the activity a clear commercial purpose.
That sequence matters. Pickle Nails Club is unusual enough to attract attention on its own. However, the experience always leads back to food people can order across France for several weeks after the Marseille event closes.
The short pop-up also creates a useful rhythm. Two days provide urgency and photographs for social media. The longer menu period then gives a wider audience time to participate through the product.

What Made It Different
Pickle Nails Club turns a product ingredient into the dress code for its own launch.
The manicure is connected to the menu through colour, texture and attitude. It does not feel like a beauty collaboration attached to an unrelated meal. Everything points towards the same pickle-heavy range.
KFC has explored similar territory before. In the United Kingdom, the brand promoted another pickle menu through a transparent puffer jacket filled with pickle liquid. The French activation continues that interest in turning food into something people can wear.
Still, the nail bar finds its own role. A jacket works as a single public object. Nail designs can travel across many hands, photographs and personal styles.
There are no campaign results yet, and the activation is too recent to judge beyond its launch idea. Even so, the connection between the product, the pop-up and the press-on sets is clear.
KFC placed pickles inside the burgers, behind the bar and at the end of every finger.
