10 of the Best Indian Diwali Ads, Collected by The Best of Ads

The best Diwali ads often find their stories away from the fireworks. A two-minute train stop, an artisan without a place to sell and a grandmother missing old traditions can all carry the festival’s meaning.
These are ten Indian Diwali ads collected by The Best of Ads that are worth watching again.
Reliance Digital | 2-Minute Ki Diwali, 2025
A mother working as a train ticket collector had only a two-minute stop with her family on Diwali. Her husband and daughter used everyday technology to cook, decorate and reach the station before her train arrived. The reunion lasted only long enough to share sweets, but that limit gave the film its emotional weight. Reliance Digital kept the family at the centre, showing how technology could create a little more time together.
Ghadi Detergent | #SaareMaelDhoDaalo, 2018
The work of a domestic helper became the lesson in Ghadi Detergent’s Diwali film. A teenager kept finding faults in everything she did until his mother asked him to handle the same work himself. He soon understood the effort he had dismissed. Ghadi extended cleaning beyond clothes by treating disrespect as another kind of dirt. Created by ADK Fortune and produced by Full Circle Films, the film asked viewers to recognise that no honest work is small.
HP India | Umeed ka Diya, 2018
An elderly roadside seller named Amma struggled to find customers for her handmade diyas. A young boy noticed her empty stall and used an HP laptop and printer to create posters for her. The devices helped, but his decision to notice someone outside his own celebration carried the film. Created by Autumn Worldwide as part of #TuJashnBan, Umeed ka Diya turned supporting a local seller into a way of bringing hope to another person’s Diwali.
Cadbury Celebrations | The Neighbour, 2026
Two neighbours who argued about everyday things discovered the affection underneath their fights. When one was injured, the other stepped forward to help, changing a relationship built on constant bickering. A box of Cadbury Celebrations then gave them a way to reconnect. Created by Ogilvy India, The Neighbour uses Diwali gifting as an invitation to look again at the people living closest to us, including those who regularly test our patience.
Luminous Power Technologies | #IlluminatingLives, 2023
Light came from an act of care in Luminous Power Technologies’ Diwali film. The campaign focused on people whose quiet work made life easier for others, then asked families to recognise those contributions. That moved the brand’s language of illumination into a more personal place. Created by Grey India and AutumnGrey Bangalore, with Deepti Nangia directing, #IlluminatingLives treated the festival as a chance to brighten someone’s circumstances as well as their home.
HP India | Thodi Si Jagah Bana Lo, 2022
Paresh’s paintings needed a place where people could see them. The elderly artist sold his work on the street with his grandson until local authorities asked him to leave. An HP World employee saw what happened and helped people discover his art. HP then offered local artisans display space across more than 75 stores in 15 Indian cities. Created by Simple Creative, the campaign asked people to make room for the craftspeople keeping traditional art alive.
Parle-G | Diwali Film, 2024
A grandmother felt distant from the way her family now celebrated Diwali. When she shared memories of the customs she missed, her grandson found a way to bring those traditions back. His response turned nostalgia into a celebration the whole family could share. Created by Thought Blurb Communications, Parle-G’s film connected their idea of genius with understanding what would make another person happy and then quietly acting on it.
Ghadi Detergent | Iss Diwali Saare Mael Dho Daalo, 2022
Age became the prejudice Ghadi Detergent wanted to wash away in this 2022 film. A son underestimated his father’s abilities because he believed experience could no longer keep pace with a changing world. The father gave him a reason to look again, showing that knowledge built over time still had value. Ghadi returned to the language of mael, or dirt, to describe the assumptions people hold about others. Here, Diwali cleaning began with giving an older generation the respect they had already earned.
AU Small Finance Bank | Devices Down, Hearts Open, 2025
A phone screen was the barrier at the centre of AU Small Finance Bank’s festive message. Devices Down, Hearts Open asked people to put their phones aside and give loved ones their full attention. The thought did not need a dramatic turn. Instead, it gave viewers one clear action for their own celebrations. The film placed presence at the heart of Diwali, suggesting that looking up and sharing the moment could be a meaningful gift.
Mankind Pharma | Neki Ki Lau Jalaate Hain, 2022
An emergency pushed two arguing families to put their hostility aside. When one neighbour’s father suffered a heart attack on Diwali night, the other neighbour’s son, a doctor, accompanied him to hospital. Care mattered more than their resentment. Mankind Pharma connected that choice with the line “Iss Diwali nafrat mitaate hain,” turning the flame of a diya into a symbol of kindness. Help offered in a difficult moment gave the festive greeting its meaning.
The festival became brighter when someone else was seen
Reliance Digital found a celebration inside two minutes, while HP India made room for a seller and an artist. Cadbury and Mankind Pharma looked past neighbourhood arguments, and Parle-G carried memories between generations.
Ghadi challenged two different forms of prejudice, while Luminous and AU Small Finance Bank focused on attention and care. Across all ten films, light mattered most when it reached another person.
