Uber Eats turns London into an 11km tasting route with 26 restaurant stops

Uber Eats has given London’s running clubs a different reason to stop along the way: something to eat.
Launched on 1 November 2026, the “Morsel Marathon” brought hundreds of runners together for an approximately 11km route featuring 26 restaurant checkpoints. Developed with Hope&Glory and Run Dem Crew founder Charlie Dark MBE, the event combined a social run with a tour of the capital’s food scene.
A food stop at every checkpoint
The name borrows from a marathon, but the challenge centres on 26 places to eat rather than 26 miles to cover.
Starting at Protein Studios in Shoreditch, participants followed a route where restaurant stops offered sampling bites. The line-up brought together familiar names and independent favourites, including GAIL’s, Wagamama, Pizza Pilgrims, Roti King, Coqfighter and Sandwich Sandwich.
From pastries and pizza to gyoza and juices, the checkpoints gave runners a taste of the variety available through Uber Eats. Each stop also gave participating restaurants a chance to introduce their food to potential customers.

Running becomes a way to explore the city
Charlie Dark helped map the course, bringing his experience of building a running community through Run Dem Crew.
The format gave participants time to discover restaurants and meet other runners, with food providing a shared reason to pause. At the finish, a village with DJ sets and celebratory drinks extended the social experience.
For Uber Eats, the route made its restaurant selection tangible. Participants could encounter the range through neighbourhoods, shopfronts and tastes, giving the platform’s food offering a physical presence across London.
Supporting City Harvest with 150,000 meals
Alongside the event, Uber Eats announced support for food redistribution charity City Harvest to provide 150,000 meals to vulnerable Londoners during winter.
The partnership connects a celebration of the city’s restaurants with support for people struggling to access food. It gives the campaign a community contribution beyond the experience enjoyed by participants.
A route that continues beyond launch day
The course was also made available for people to explore independently, either in one outing or across smaller weekend sections.
At launch, Uber Eats announced £262 in platform credit for the first 100 eligible people to complete the route and share their recorded Strava activity through the campaign’s social instructions.
That extension gives the activation a life beyond its opening event, allowing more people to discover the participating restaurants at their own pace.
